Already Winners!

We all know that to start something is easy, but to finish it is, most of the time, not as easy.

In January I started the Time Challenge here on the blog and many people decided to start it with me.

So far, there have been frogs, lists, tasks, a diet and even a frog eating competition.  It has really been a challenge for my partners and I, but we stuck to it and we remain faithful to our tasks until today.

Change is hard for everyone but much harder for some. So unfortunately some were eliminated from the Challenge and will not continue with us in the next phase.

If you are reading this and you are one of those who got eliminated, don’t give up. You can join us for the new Challenge starting in March. Now that you know what to expect, it will all be easier for you. The secret is to look forward and to press forward always. If you want to register again, here’s the link.

To those who passed onto the next phase, congratulations!! You may not have won the war yet, but you are definitively already winners as the first battle is already behind us.

Here are the names of those who won the battle against themselves on the first round of the Challenge:

Jasmine de Los Rios
Alicia Montalvo
Jazmin Cazares
Bruna Araujo
Phelisa Godi
Sarah Ng
Triana Saucedo
Bianca Lima
Leslie Ntoya
Mady dos Santos
Jessica Aguilar

Congratulations once again!!!

Now, let’s fight and eat those frogs!

  1. Hi I'm here to tell about "meu sapo chato" which is washing/putting away dishes & vacuuming the house" which I call daily clean up around the house

This sapo usually take me about 30-40 minutes total, because it includes me cleaning up the dinner table, washing the dishes, putting the dishes away, and vacuuming the house, overall fixing up the house so it won't be messy.

Since cleaning the house is my at least favorite thing to do, and it unfortunately takes me longer to do, but I am DETERMINED to get it done in 20 minutes and WELL DONE TOO!

Monday- Wednesday I plan to time myself to see on average it takes me to get this done, and work out on ideal plan to get this sapo done in 20 minutes or less! Which is working faster but still doing a good job.

  2. For the second part of the task...

This challenge has helped me write everything down, that I need to get done and I haven't been forgetting what I need to get done on my to-do list. Also it has been helping me get things done that I used to leave for "tomorrow's last minute." Overall it has been helping me keep more ORGANIZED!

  5. Annoying frog eaten!!!!!

It never takes me less that 2 hours and a half to get this annoying frog eaten, but today with the task of doing more in less time I managed to shorten it to 1 hour and 57!!

A difference of 33 minutes! And it's only the first day :)))

    Let's see tomorrow!!

  7. Hi !

One of my annoyinf frog is my revision. I have a competitive examination in march so I have to work hard everyday. I used to dedicate 1 hour to 4 hours a day to my revision. The problem is that, that time is never enough for me. So quickly, 1 hour becomes 2 hours, 2 hours 3, and so on.

But now I found a strategy to respect the time. I started yesterday and it's working for me =) It's simple actually, now, when I write my tasks on my notebook, I not only write " Revise" but something more precise. I ask to myself " What subject are you going to revise ? And How ? " Otherwise, I want to do so many subjects that I become quicly nervous to not find enough time for all the subjects that I have in my mind.

I will be back by the end of the week to share my progress with you ! =)

  8. The time challenge is THE opportunity to learn how to be an organized woman! Now, I can say that find myself at the end of the day without complete any of my important tasks is totally behind me!
    Thank you Ms Raphaela

  11. I like that the Time Challenge really does challenge me! It's awesome to always be able to look at my to do list instead of forcing my brain to remember everything I have to do! :)

  12. My most annoying frog is preparing fotr the next day, I tell you though it is something that is af great use it is something ver daunting to me. This week I was still dragging my feet about but I saw its value, because when I got up on Thursday the was a power balckout and it was pitch dark in the whole house. But because I had prepared everything before hand, I did not need to run around the house looking for things it made my start to mt day so much easier. Whew it felt good to be in control.

  14. My annoying frog is doing my hair. It takes me for ever! I thought there was not much I could do, but then as I was doing it I realized how many times I stop to do something on my phone, I'll start talking to someone, or just space out and play with my hair lol. Realized I could finish faster if I stop that and just focus on finishing:)

  15. Ok with my ugly frog lol its truly ...well it was ;) impossible to get the house clean with my son at home. . But I found out that Alan doesn't go as much to the kitchen or restroom as often as he goes to the Room and living room etc. . .. so in the morning still waking up earlier, I cleaned my room first and then the living room. .. Alan didn't wake up he is a deep sleeper. .. lol so something that took me like till 12 or 1 and with a lot of Alan calling... i broke the record and finished earlier :D I was in my head saying indeed I'm becoming a super mom lol

  20. Hello:) This week I have been eating my annoying frog in 1:30-40 mins depending on how much homework I have been having, this has helped me out a lot because before I would try to avoid doing it or leave it for the last thing i would have to do, now it has been my main dish ;)

  21. Hello everyone,
Here my experience with the last task.

I used to prepare my clothes, bags, book every evening to avoid wasting time but I didn't do it properly. My clothes were ready yes, but not ironed for instance. I always let this for tomorrow morning. But obviously, I never found time to do it! The result is that I was forced to look after other clothes quickly etc. I lost a lot of time just because of my clothes, now imagine how many time I wasted ( and money sometimes...) with my lunch box, that I always tried to do in the morning.

With this task I learn to not be in a rush anymore. It's really delightful to wake up in the morning knowing that everything is done. Sometimes it's difficult to do it in the evening because I feel so tired and the only thing I want it's going to bed lol But I know what my reward will be : a peaceful mind and above all more time for my other morning task !!

  22. Hi everyone
Here is my experience with last weeks task.

I used to just prepare my breakfast in the morning, have it all set up. But with the task more I being more detailed to make my mornings easier, for an example, in the past (sometimes) I would leave the things I needed to do my coffee (pot, coffee, sugar, and mug, and even the spoons hehe :))out in the morning,(I'm old school, I don't use a coffee maker to make my coffee), now with the task its a MUST no if and buts.

I did not pick out my outfits at night, I would always do it in the morning, and I must admit it took a good chunk of time. So this part of the task has been a bit difficult in adjusting, but I'm working on it.

And having my books organized was something I would do occasionally, but now with the task, its being a daily GOOD habit :)

Overall I do see a difference and it has been very helpful all the tips, but it just gets difficult when theres exams, its something I need to work on.

  26. For the past week I had been very faithful in preparing my thing for the following day, I found that sometimes when I had prepared my things, in the morning I had so much peace. and in this week having done that I had unexpected delays because though I had a plan in place, I had to change it as I fell weak and many of things like going to gym I had to cancel as I did not have the strength. But I am excited about this weeks challenge.

  27. Hi everyone !

I admit that this week I didn't really managed to reduce my distractions ! When I suceed to avoid one, a another one came in my mind. That was awful ! I'm glad that this task is the same for next week. I don't accept this situation. I'll try a new strategy to reduce my distractions. I'll treat them like bad thoughts : rebuke them immediatly and carry on with my task ! I believe that the result will be good. =)

  28. Im happy that we have the same task of last week lol strongly need inforce this habbit in me.....ITS HARD WHEN YOUR DISTRACTIONS ARE IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND!!!! LOL but God just spoke to me lol like righr this second (he's so awesome! I love him so much :D) well any who im going to delete the apps that distract me from my phone just until I can manage to get this habbit in me a natural thing... I'll delete it cause then if I want to get in it I have to type in everything and don't really want to be doing all of that lol so it'll take more to get in so ill think twice if I really want to do all of that lol therefore ill be more focused on these ugly frogs ;)

  31. Okay last weeks task didnt go that well but I did put a time for me to clean the kitchen it took me 1 hour and sometimes with 20 min. But I have planned to do it in 45 minutes. Now I cleaned and at first I didn't go that we'll. I kept slacking off or siting down to watch tv. But no. Then I just started and I had to finish by 45 min. I finished in about 48 min. I am almost there :) but now I'm trying not to get distracted and putting things under the sink so I won't have to wonder around to look for them then get distracted LOL but I am getting there.

  32. hello! :) I am striving to better myself in all the tasks, they have been helped me manage my time, making time work for me instead of working for time ;)

  33. Hi! :) well ok I have been cleaning and I have tried my strategy and tried it with other strategies lol and im getting better :)) just that now im kinda having a little issue cause I have my list then I get frogs that weren't planned I didnt forget them they just popped in my way! :O how do I manage those??? It just throws me off of everything lol I think thats why we have to strive to finish all of our frogs to
be a step ahead.. thats why I started to clean at night ^_^ I clean my living room and then the next day if I have to work I clean really fast lol when I get home and relax and then when im off I have less to clean :D and more time on my hands ;)
